The Gramaphone is a distinctive two floor venue, the upstairs is simple and elegant to accentuate the handsome brickwork arches, with a striking bar made of reclaimed printing blocks and an exhibition space that is available to up and coming artists. The downstairs floor is decorated with sumptuous colours which, together with the arches that continue from the floor above, create a more intimate feel.
Our Thai Menu has been a hit with all who have the pleasure of eating here. The kitchen has been awarded the title for "Best Thai Restaurant" the last two years running by the East London Advertiser. The winning formula of tasty home style cooking leads us to recommend that you call to make a reservation, as we cannot guarantee seating will be available. Our kitchen is open for lunch and evening meals, Mon - Fri 12pm - 10pm and 12pm - 8pm Sundays.
The late license allows the bar to convert into a cocktail lounge whilst the dance floor downstairs begins to warm up. An extensive cocktail and wine list and a full range of beers and spirits are guaranteed to keep your taste buds wanting more!
The lower floor comprises two small stages, one designed to feature 4 or 5 piece live bands, and the other a DJ stage. There is also a second bar, a cloakroom, and raised seating areas on this floor. The venue has two high quality sound systems complete with state of the art DJ mixers, vinyl, and premium live music equipment.
Both bars are available for private hire either together or separately as a function room or a venue for parties or events, so there is plenty of scope to make the Gramaphone work for you.
Please do not hesitate to contact our promotions team to see how we could help you organise your event. We are available on gramaphone@gmail.com or 020 7377 5332 and we hope to hear from you soon.

A little bit of Ska & Punk
Back once again this month for another helping...
Choke On This has for many years been providing an avenue for alternative music-lovers to vent their frustrations on the ever-growing commercial music scene, through various underground music movements.
Skank You Very Much was designed to be a slightly more accessible and sexy style of gig, than former nights (at Cargo, Rhythm Factory, Brighton and Oxford).
post-punk, ska-punk, ska-core, folk punk and roots rockney...

Into the washing machine is a new night in East London. It's aim? Simple really... to recreate the vibe and good times of your good old fashioned house party (but without having those pesky neighbours spoiling the show > you know who you are Flat 2 and 5). Expect a heady mix of house music, from deep / jackin early on in the night (to get those heads nodding), moving through to tech / minimal and maybe even a sprinkling of prog / techno to round it off.
