On Thursday 21 August, Alice in Blue Stockings will be hosting the after party for David le Fleming’s latest exhibition: Gullwing Mary and the Dannevirke Divas, which open at 30 Vyner Street on the same day.
David
Le Flemming's work for the most part is conceptual in that each piece
is hinged with some sort of inherent visual pun. The characters are
central to the themes, with close attention to detail being paid to the
faces, petering out to flat colour fields of the surrounding
environment.
Join the artist and friends for a cocktail in a tea cup or whatever takes your fancy at Alice’s third tea-party and enjoy the transformation of the uber-chic Hoxton Pony into an art gallery to tickle your cultural taste buds.
This month Alice in Blue Stockings welcomes back Little Boots, who has just released her official debut album, Meddle, on August 4th and will be supplying music to move you including Electro, Rock & ‘80s.
The dress code is ‘eart breakers and admission is free so pull on your blue stockings and join the party.
